In Kartepe Ski Centre there are 4 lifts,3 chair-lifts and 1 teleski and the the length of the tracks varies between 400m and 3500m. In Kartepe Ski Centre the ski season lasts from the end of December till the end of February. In Kartepe Ski Centre under normal conditions the thickness of snow varies from between 80-200cm.
Kartepe Ski Centre has been constructed at 1650m altitude over Mount Kartepe. Kartepe is covered by forest composed of hazelnut, oak and chestnut trees. There are villages on the hillsides among fruitranches. The easiest access to Kartepe Ski Centre can be provided from Maşukiye. Kartepe is famous for the-most-closest ski resort to Istanbul and recent years, the popularity of the ski resort is getting higher. Despite of this fame, the ski conditions are highly effected from the sudden weather changes so climate and isolation of the ski resort can be unstable when compared with Uludağ and Kartalkaya Ski resorts.
