Val Thorens - base 2303 m · 2303 m

Val Thorens , located in the Tarentaise Valley, Savoie, French Alps, located at an altitude of 2300m, is the highest ski town in Europe. It is located in the commune of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville in the Savoie département. The resort forms part of the 3 vallées linked ski area which, with over 600 km of piste, is one of the largest linked ski areas in the world.

Skiing in Val Thorens offers a wide range of runs. There's gentle blue runs, plenty of long reds for intermediates to get their teeth into and some of the most challenging skiing in the Three Valleys - it's hard not to find a piste you feel comfortable on. Away from the famous centres of this huge skiing domain there are some hidden gems, both Orelle and the Pointe de la Masse are easily reached from Val Thorens and offer quality skiing away from the crowds.
